Family Money Life

Where Family Finance Is A Lifestyle

Consistency Is The Path To Success

The reality with money is that it’s rarely (if ever) one big decision or action that changes everything.

Instead, it’s returning to the right ones week after week, month after month, year after year.

The small resets.

The habits you reinforce.

The systems you retool and retry.
The moments you choose to engage instead of procrastinate.

Achieving consistency may not feel exciting, but it’s how real results happen.

This membership was built to help you routinely direct your attention back to your goals & to leverage consistency.

Questions & Answers

I've paid for things before and didn't use them... I'm just not sure I'll use it enough if I join.

The #1 goal of this membership is to help you build routine awareness and attention around your money life. If you take a minute or two to ponder your weekly financial debrief email (usually just one key question zero'ing in on one aspect of your finances), you're using it as intended. Directed attention naturally leads to action - changed habits, strategic changes, whatever helps you move the needle, one small shift at a time. When we focus simply on the habit of directed attention, we can produce results that are more sustainable over time.

The weekly student debrief email was originally only sent to students who purchased my Money $trategy $chool course, and over the years that weekly Sunday evening email has maintained an open rate of 60-70%, compared to a typical email open rate (across my business and most others with successful email newsletters) of 30-40%. This means, nearly all recipients of the weekly debrief message "use" their debrief message at least a few times a month. If you feel you're not getting enough value out of your membership, however, simply cancel.

I'm doing fine financially, so not sure I really need this... Would this benefit someone like me?

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: I literally created a business around money management, based on strategies and principles I've learned or developed and tweaked managing my own family's financial matters, as well as those I've learned from books or other people. I've created hundreds of emails, lesson videos, and systems on these topics. But I can tell you that each time I give a few minutes of attention to that weekly debrief email (that I write and send, but also receive from myself), each time I watch a lesson or challenge video I created awhile back, or each time I work through one of my tried and true processes that I'd gotten lazy about actively applying - I come away better off for it.

In other words, we all benefit from some directed attention to keep our financial train traveling smoothly - even when you're the one who laid the track. If I can benefit, you can also.

I'm trying to save money... I'm not sure I should spend money for this.

I totally understand. And while it's a good impulse to question your spending (of course), fear of investing in resources that support growth holds us back. See what I shared above about the power of intentionally directing your attention on a routine basis? You're exponentially more likely to give that bit of attention if you have a little skin in the game. Even if you pay just a little bit for something, your brain prioritizes that something. It's simply how we're wired.

Money creates the level of commitment that's needed before habit takes over.

Think of it as investing a few dollars a week to direct your busy mind's attention onto your financial matters. That small investment will provide many multiples more payoff if it means you create and sustain a habit of thinking strategically about your finances, even if only for a few minutes each week. Consider the digital resources (the courses, challenges, workshops, and more that you have access to) as simply a free bonus to tap as needed/desired. The real value is in using cash to create greater commitment, greater control over your attention.

How does cancellation work?

To cancel, simply enter your member portal, navigate to "Settings" under your profile > click "Manage my subscriptions," find your Family Money Life subscription, click the three dots, and select "Cancel subscription." Cancellation instructions are also included in each week's membership email. If you're finished with your membership, simply cancel before your next billing renewal date to stop any ongoing charges. If you're on a free trial period, cancel anytime before the 30 day trial ends and you'll be charged nothing.
